A Code Sprint is an intensive, collaborative work session in which developers, researchers, and engineers come together, in person or virtually, over a short period of time to design, build, and test concrete technical solutions around a shared challenge. Unlike a conference or a traditional workshop, the focus isn't on theory but on producing tangible outputs: working code, prototypes, technical specifications, or implementation reports that remain available to the wider community.
The aim of the Methods and Applications in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems Research Group, GRUMETS, is the development of new algorithms, theory and methodologies in these fields as well as the development of applications that advance environmental and geographical research from basic and applied disciplines.
